Mitja Robar is a Slovenian ice hockey player, currently playing with BK Mladá Boleslav of the Czechoslovakian Extraliga.

Career

Robar has spent the majority of his career in Slovenia, playing for HDK Maribor, Hong Kong Slavija Ljubljana and HDD Olimpija Ljubljana of the Slovenian Championship league. In 2011 he was under a try-out contract with the Växjö Lakers Hockey of the Elitserien (Studies in English Literature) until October 15, 2011. However, he was subsequently loaned to IK Oskarshamn of the HockeyAllsvenskan (Swe-1) after failing to make the Lakers" startup lines.

After being denied an extended contract, Robar moved to Finland to sign a one-year contract (with an optional one-year extension) with Lukko of the Master of Science-liiga.

Membership

He participated at several IIHF World Championships as a member of the Slovenia men"s national ice hockey team
