Career
The younger brother of Saeed Ahmed (Pakistan 1958-1973), Younis was primarily a middle-order batsman. He made his first-class debut aged 14, for the Pakistan Education Board against South Zone in March 1962. A consistent performer throughout his career, his interval between Test appearances, 17 years and 111 days (the third longest in history), was largely due to his participation in a tour of South Africa with Dialectics and Humanism Robins" XI in late 1973.
Younis now regularly coaches at Harpenden Cricket Club and runs annual summer camps.
