Career
Known for his quick and swift style of boxing, he goes by the nickname "China Manitoba". he is best Pakistani Boxer In 2012, he was to turn a professional-boxer under the AIBA however the organization failed to follow up on their offer. In 2012, Muhammad Waseem Baloch was chosen to be AIBA professional (APB), however, just as he prepared for the big stage, his participation failed to be confirmed, to which Baloch stated;
"..I don"t know what went wrong. The federation was dealing with the matter and then nothing evolved out of it, which is really disappointing.
I wanted to take on the best boxers of the world but my dream was shattered.."
He says he now plans to keep winning medals so that he is eventually recognized and offered a contract.

2009 Kings Cup
Muhammad Waseem Baloch Was given the bronze medal in Kings Cup, Bangkok, Thailand 2009. In the quarterfinal he defeated Singapore"s Saleh Mohammad in a one sided match by 26–6.
2010 Asian Games
At the 2010 Asian Games after defeating Iran"s Masoud Rigi in the round of 32 he was defeated by India"s Amandeep Singh in the round of 16. 2010 World Combat Games

In the quarterfinal, Baloch overcame his Turkish opponent, Cagdas Yikilmaz, by 14–1, but in the semifinal Waseem was defeated by Ukrainian boxer, Olexandr Grishchuk, by 8–2 and ended up with the bronze medal.

He defeated Iran"s Reza Korzbori by 22:6 in per-quarter final.
