Career
She appeared in one film, an adaptation of her stage success, Within the Law (1916). She was also known for the plays East of Suez, Birds of Paradise and Madame X. In May 1930 she was declared bankrupt. Starr died in her dressing room at the Street Johns Theatre in New York while appearing in the production The Velvet Glove.
