She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Doctor Nnaemeka is currently the Chancellor’s Professor of French, Women's Studies and Africana Studies at Indiana University. Doctor Nnaemeka"s academic interests are expansive.
Prior to arriving at Indiana University, Doctor Nnaemeka taught at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Doctor Nnaemeka also taught at the College of Wooster, Wooster Ohio. Doctor Nnaemeka, is a cultural critic for the French of the International of Ration Netherlands in Helversum.
Doctor Nnaemeka, is a Board member for the Global Women's Leadership Center at the Leavey School of Business. While at the University of Minnesota in pursuit of her Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor Nnaemeka was the President of the Nigerian Students Association.
She was also actions in the International Student Council.
Doctor Nnameka, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Jessie Obidiegwu Education Fund. Which is an non-governmental organization dedicated to the education of women and girls in Africa. Combining her research interests and teaching Doctor Nnaemeka has consulted with the United Nations, World Bank, international agencies and academic institutions.
She is interested in black women writers, feminist theory, transitional feminism, Francophone literatures, oral as well as written works of African and the African Diaspora, gender and human rights.
