Doctor Oszkár Gerde, who was Jewish, was born July 8, 1883, in Budapest, Hungary. He was affiliated with MAC, in Budapest. Subsequently, he judged international fencing competitions.
He was deported from Hungary in 1944 and was killed October 8, 1944, at the age of 61 in Mauthausen-Gusen Concentration Camp, Oberösterreich, Austria.
