He began acting at the age of ten. Olfson was active in acting at the Children"s Theatre until he was 18. In the early 60s, Olfson worked for an insurance firm.

Mom, Odd Jobs, and Breakin" 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Olfson became a coordinator and supervisor at the mid-Wilshire district"s Southern California Counseling Center. As Olfson aged, he remembered how therapy helped him overcome depression. He was bisexual. Olfson died of a heart attack on January 13, 1998, in Los Los Angeles
