Gurrieri grew up in Totowa, New Jersey and attended Passaic Valley Regional High School, transferring out after his freshman year to join the United States. Soccer U17 Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida starting in September 2013.

Committed to the 2015 Administrative Committee on Company-ordination Men"s Soccer Champions: Syracuse University for the Fall of 2016. Early Soccer Gurrieri began playing soccer at the age of 5 in his home town’s recreational league. After showing a natural coordination and control of the ball it did not take him long to discover that soccer would be all he wanted to do.
lieutenant was difficult finding children in his neighborhood that wanted to play the game as much as he did.
His town’s youth sports programs where more encouraging of other American sports and travel soccer was non-existent. Too young to play travel soccer at the time, Gurrieri would train year round as many as 5 days a week with three different programs and picking up games where ever he could.
When home Gurrieri would spend hours on his own playing with a soccer ball. This type of rigorous schedule still continues to this day.
When not seeing to his school work, he is doing some kind of training, alone or with his team
At 14 Gurrieri was accepted to play for U16 NJSA-04 Academy in the United States Soccer Developmental Academy League. The club has since gone through a merger and is now New Jersey Cedar Stars Academy (NJCSA). Soccer has taken Gurrieri around the world in countries such as Spain, Denmark, and Austria including a training stint in England playing with England Championship League sides: Brentford Football Club and Nottingham Forest.
With his leadership and ability to control the central midfield, Gurrieri has become known for his passing accuracy, distribution, and defensive strength which made him a consistent call up for the U14, U15, and U17 United States. National Team Programs.
During the 2015 U17 Men"s World Cup the U17 United States. National team failed to advance out of the group stage resulting in 2 losses and 1 draw. Gurrieri was not called into that tournament.
Gurrieri signed an amateur contract with United Soccer League side Wilmington Hammerheads on July 16, 2015.
