Career
He played first-class cricket for his native Jamaica from 1927 to 1939. Hylton debuted with four Tests against England in the 1934-1935 season, taking 13 wickets at an average of 19.30, but had to wait until the 1939 series in England before playing his next two Tests, when he took three wickets. Hylton is perhaps more well known for his death.
During his trial, Hylton claimed he had been trying to shoot himself but missed.
