Career
After ten years with the Theoretical Physics Department at Bell Laboratories, Professor Lee left and joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Department of Physics in 1982. He is a true pioneer in "mesoscopic physics," (the study of small devices at low temperatures). He has also made important contributions to the theory of disordered electronic systems
He introduced the concept of universal conductance fluctuations to describe these small devices at low temperatures.
He is currently researching and focusing on high temperature superconductors.
