Listed at 5 ft 11 in (180 m), 185 pounds, Maloy batted and threw right-handed. He was born in Bascom, Ohio. Maloy"s release from the club made room on the roster for Babe Ruth.

In a two-game career, Maloy, who was nicknamed "Biff", posted a 9.00 European Research Area with one walk and two hits allowed in 2.0 innings of work.
