Career
He was sworn in at the Legislative Council of Montserrat on 27 July 2007, 19 years to the day since he was last in Montserrat, when he served as a Foreign and Commonwealth Office legal adviser. In his inaugural speech, he emphasised Her Majesty the Queen"s commitment to and concern for the people of Montserrat and his commitment to the redevelopment of Montserrat. Following his swearing-in, he inspected a special guard of honour in Little Bay.
Waterworth has served as the United Kingdom"s deputy high commissioner in Lagos and consul-general for Nigeria, political counselor in Islamabad and Baghdad, and in the Northern Ireland Office as well as in Germany, Italy and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
He has a wife, Catherine.
