James L. Mooney, Junior. was an American football player in the National Football League for the Newark Tornadoes, Brooklyn Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Saint Louis Gunners and Chicago Cardinals.

Career
Prior to his professional career, Mooney played college football at Georgetown University. He died in France during World World War II, when he was shot by a sniper.
