Career
He is currently playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Brandon Wheat Kings as a prospect for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League (National Hockey League). Hawryluk was selected by the Panthers in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2014 National Hockey League Entry Draft. Hawryluk was selected by the Brandon Wheat Kings in the 2nd round (32nd overall) of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.
He has played with the Brandon Wheat Kings since the 2011-2012 WHL season.
He had a 24-goal, 64-point season with the Wheat Kings in the 2013-2014 season. On March 1, 2016, Hawryluk was signed to a three-year entry-level contract with the Florida Panthers.
Hawryluk also helped Canada men"s national under-18 ice hockey team capture the bronze medal at the 2014 IIHF World U18 Championships.
