He matriculated at Lincoln College, Oxford on 15 April 1608, aged 15 and was awarded Bachelor on 22 May 1611. He was called to the bar at Lincoln"s Inn in 1621 and became recorder of Wells. Baber became a bencher in 1639.
In April 1640, he was re-elected Member of Parliament for Wells in the Short Parliament.
Baber died in 1644, aged 50.
