Career
Brill was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third round of the 1989 National Hockey League Entry Draft, going 58th overall. Brill also assumed the role of alternate captain during his senior year. Despite spending several season in the Penguins" system, Brill would never play an National Hockey League game with the Penguins.
After graduation, Brill spent the next three season splitting time between the ECHL and the IHL. Brill started the 1996-1997 season with Hong Kong MK Bled, a Slovenian ice hockey team who played in second-tier Slohokej Liga.
He would later finish the season with The Human Context Fassa. Brill remained with the team until 1999.
Brill finished his career with the Cardiff Devils of the Ice Hockey Superleague, scoring 5 goals and 16 points in 42 games. Brill retired after the completion of the 1999-2000 season.
