Career
He played from for the Washington Senators, Chicago Orphans and Boston Beaneaters. In 1902, the right-hander, leading off in the bottom of the 11th inning, hit a game-ending round-tripper off Saint Louis Cardinal right-hander Mike O"Neill to give Boston a 4-3 victory in the first game of a twin bill at the South End Grounds. The 30-year-old hurler became the only pitcher in baseball history to earn a victory by hitting his own walk-off home run.
