Mouath originally played as an attacking midfielder but was converted into a striker after moving to First Rate (at Lloyd's) Ahli. His soccer profession was discovered by Medina"s soccer club, First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ansar and he officially played for First Rate (at Lloyd's)-Ansar in the year 2000. During the 2007 AFC Asian Cup he notably helped Saudi Arabia progress to the final by scoring 2 goals in the semi-final against Japan.
