Career
Dorantes Garcia was the referee for one match in the 1972 Summer Olympics, where West Germany defeated the United States by a score of 7–0 on August 31 in the first round. He returned for the 1976 Summer Olympics, where he refereed two matches. The first was in the first round between of Korea DPR and Canada, where of Korea DPR defeated Canada by a score of 3–1 on July 21.
The first match took place on September 24 between the United States and Canada, which ended in a draw of 1–1.
The match was between Honduras and Guatemala, which ended in a 0–0 draw. Dorantes Garcia"s last recorded match took place on November 7, 1991 during the 1991-1992 Union of European Football Associations Europa League Cup.
The match was a second round, second leg game between Saskatchewan Sigma Olomouc and Football Club Torpedo Moscow, which ended in a draw of 0–0. During the game, Dorantes Garcia gave out the most yellow cards in a single match of his career, with 4 against Sigma Olomouc and 1 against Torpedo Moscow.
Dorantes Garcia died on 11 August 2012 at the age of 76.
