Marianne Clark graduated from the University of Utah in 1924. Foreign the next decade she lived in New York City. While there, she served for a time as a stake Relief Society president
From 1938 on she lived in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In 1945, she became the editor of Relief Society Magazine. She remained its editor until it ceased publication at the end of 1970.
Prior to being made a counselor in the General Presidency of the Relief Society, Sharp served for five years on the General Board of the Relief Society. Sharp died at Salt Lake City, Utah.
