Career
He started his professional career in 2014 after he played a season for Kalamazoo College in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division 3 Tournament. Earlier in 2013, Ghafari travelled to Lebanon to perform a medical for First Rate (at Lloyd's) Riyadi whereupon he was signed for three years. Ghafari was the stand out for Kalamazoo scoring 46 points in a game breaking the college record of points scored in a game.
Ghafari was also a two time Academic All-American for the Kalamazoo college basketball program
