Career
He is a cousin of San Antonio Spurs basketball player LaMarcus Aldridge. After spending two seasons with the University of Louisville, Hairston signed a Generation Adidas contract and was selected 12th overall in the 2014 Master of Library Science SuperDraft by Colorado. Hairston made his professional debut on March 29, 2014 against Sporting Kansas City.
He scored his first professional goal on August 20, 2014 against Los Angeles Galaxy.
On April 2, 2015, Hairston was loaned to USL side Charlotte Independence. Hairston was called into a United States camp for the first time in April 2013, when he was summoned by Tab Ramos to participate in an under-20 training camp.
A month later, he was named to the United States roster for the 2013 Toulon Tournament, but did not play.
