Career
He was head of the Fukui Domain in Echizen Province. After the death of his father, Munemasa became head of the Matsuoka Domain. In 1721, he was made head of Fukui Domain.
Upon becoming lord of Fukui, Matsuoka ceased to exist and its 50,000 koku holdings were merged into Fukui.
