His career started in 1983 when he started playing for Diósgyőri VTK where he"ll stay three seasons, before moving to the Hungarian giants Ferencváros where he played between 1986 and 1990. This meant that for Dzurják was time to move abroad, signing with the East German 1990 vice-champions Chemnitzer Football Club, being one of the few foreigners to play in the last season of the Deutsche Demokratische Republik-Oberliga. After six months during the winter break, he moved to FK Spartak Subotica where he spend the rest of the season playing in the Yugoslav First League.
