Career
Marracci trained in Rome in the studio of Pietro da Cortona, but worked independently in Lucca and neighboring towns. Among his masterpieces is a Coronation of Santa Teresa (now in Museo Nazionale di Villa Guinigi, Lucca). The frescoes on the main door of Santa Maria Cortelandini are also attributed to him.
He painted thealtarpiece of Street Thomas of the Tribune church.
He painted seven large canvases for the library of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, and also painted for the galleria Colonna in Rome. One of his pupils was Gaetano Vetturali.
