Career
Guo Ailun signed his first professional contract with Chinese Basketball Association side Liaoning Flying Leopards in early 2010. Guo had a career year for Liaoning during the 2012-2013 season. He scored a career-high 35 points in a game against the Qingdao Eagles and scored 28 points and eight assists in a match against the Xinjiang Flying Tigers.
Guo captained the Chinese under-17 national team at the 2010 International Basketball Federation Under-17 World Championship, averaging a tournament-high 22.4 points per game as the team finished 7th place.
Following these successful performances, he was a surprise choice to be selected to the Chinese national basketball team squad for the 2010 International Basketball Federation World Championship. At just 16 years old, Guo was by far the youngest player to compete at the tournament.
Guo was included and also played at the 2012 Summer Olympics for the Chinese national team In addition to those performances, Guo had also joined the New Orleans Pelicans in the 2015 National Basketball Association Summer League for Las Vegas, Nevada.
