Habib Bacha received his priestly ordination on 29 June 1956 leading church offices. Bacha was appointed in 1975 Melkite of Beirut and Jbeil and continuated his studies in Rome after episcopal ordination. From 1968 to 1975 he was Superior General of the Congregation of the Saint Paul.
On August 23, 1975 Habib Bacha was appointed of Beirut and Jbeil.
The consecration took place on 14 September 1975, being his consecrator Maximos V Hakim (Melkite Patriarch of the Patriarchate of Antioch). The co-consecrators were Jean Bassoul, Bachelor of Science (of Zahle and Furzol) and Nicolas Naaman, MSSP (of Bosra and Hauran).
Between 1985 and 1987 Bacha was also Apostolic Administrator of Banyas. During the apostolic visit of Pope John Paul II in 1997, he was Chairman of the Episcopal Commission for the Laity and responsible representative of the youth in Lebanon.
At 68 years old Habib Bacha died on 23 November 1999 of a heart attack.
