In 2007, she graduated from the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, having specialized in law.
She is the current Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers. She received a Master of Laws degree in 2011. Onyschenko started her career as a lawyer in 2004.
In August 2013, she served as the lawyer of Arseniy Yatsenyuk in a court case in which Yatsenyuk was ordered to retract his allegations that the 18 May 2013 riots at a Rise up, Ukraine! rally were provocations ordered by National Security Council Secretary Andriy Klyuyev.
In the first Yatsenyuk Government (appointed in late February 2014), Onyschenko served as the Deputy Minister of Justice and also chaired the State Registration Service. On 2 December 2014 she was appointed Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers in the second Yatsenyuk Government.
Ranked 58th on the electoral list of People"s Front, she was elected into parliament in the October 2014 Ukrainian parliamentary election.
