On 1 December 1602 he was admitted a scholar of Corpus Christi College, Oxford, where he had worked as a clerk and proceeded Bachelor of Arts 1605, Master of Arts 1608, Bachelor of Divinity 1617. In 1630 he succeeded his tutor, Sebastian Benefield, as rector of Meysey Hampton, Gloucestershire. He died there, on 4 June 1662.
