Career
His first role as a leading character was in the 2007 Bengali movie Nabab Nandini, directed by Haranath Chakraborty, opposite Koel Mullick. The film was a success and established Hiran as a popular face in the top league of Tollyville. Bhalobasa Bhalobasa became a hit and people started calling him the Chocolate Boy.
Thereafter he got critical plaudits for his characters in Jackpot and Risk.
His role in Macho Mustanaa converted him from "Chocolate Boy" into the "macho" guy. Le Halua Le became a hit, and his most recent movie Majnu also received a great response.
He also wrote the story and script of a feature film Doshomi, directed by Suman Moitra and starring Koel Mallick and Bollywood star Indraneil Sengupta. He is actively involved with the non-governmental organization group "Voice of World".
He believes in social work in a true sense.
His awareness made him pledge to donate his eyes even at this young age.
