Career
Born in Fão, Esposende, Portugal to an Angolan mother and a Mozambican father, Marques played mainly lower league football in the country, joining Football Club Porto"s youth system at the age of 16 and representing its reserves as a senior for three years. His professional input consisted of six second division games for Gil Vicente F.C. in the 2007-2008 season (12 goals conceded). In 2011 Marques moved to Angola where he appeared for Kabuscorp South.C.P. and Communicative Disorders Primeiro de Agosto, and was awarded Angolan nationality shortly after.
