Ille Takhti was born on September 4, 1889, Nüškassi village of the Yantikovsky District of the Chuvash Republic.

He having graduated from rural school arrived in the Kazan teacher"s seminary, having received a rank of the teacher worked at Tautovo high school of the Alikovsky District.
Collected national songs, verses. In 1911 published them in Kazan in 2 volumes: "Tavat, Melesh, Shuras songs" and "Shuras". In 1922–1925 held a position of the inspector Narkomprosa of the Chuvash Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. In 1925–1928 he got education at the Moscow literary institute, during the same period worked in editorial offices of the magazine «Ĕçлекенсен сасси» (A voice of workers) and newspapers «Chuvash peasant» (later the Kommunar newspaper).
In 1928–1931 Takhti is teaching in Cheboksary pedagogical technical school the Chuvash language and literature.
In 1931–1938 the writer lived literary work. Long time suffered an illness of lungs, died on February 22, 1938 in Cheboksary hospital.
Member of Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Union of Writers since 1934.
