Chawla made her debut in Tollywood with Prema Kavali opposite debutant Aadi under K. Vijay bhaskars direction. Prema Kavali received an overwhelming response at the box office and Chawla made her place in the industry with her first film itself. She closely resembles yesteryear actress Kajal Kiran.
Isha is the youngest of three children with two elder sisters Sajal and Ankita.
Chawla started her career with theatre group what IFF Mumbai, she did a three-month training program in acting from Baary John Acting Studio after which she continued doing theatre. Chawla did a few commercial adds and many corporate shoots.
She made her film debut with K. Vijay Bhaskar"s Prema Kavali in 2011 under the ready reckoner Movie Makers Banner, which went onto be a big success and ran for over 100 days. Even though the success of Prema Kavali fetch her many offers, Chawla"s love towards theatre took her back to Gurgaon to do theatre with disabled children.
Chawla made her break through her second release opposite Sunil in Poola Rangadu in 2012 which was a success at the box office and left the young actress flooded with praises.
Her second release in 2012 was Srimannarayana alongside actor Balakirshna, Chawla got compliments for her comedy timing in this movie. After three consecutive films under ready reckoner Movie Makers the actress signed her first outside ready reckoner movie maker film Mr. Pellikoduku which was a remake of the Hindi film Tanu weds Manu.
She said "I feel fortunate to have been offered this role". though the film Mr.
Pellikoduku released in 2013 received mixed reviews and a lukewarm response at the box office, the actress gathered both criticism and praises for choosing to do the bold character of Tanu. In 2014, Chawla was cast against Allari Naresh in Jump Jilani, remake of Kalakalappu.
She got loads of applauses for her comedy timing and her performance in a role which is very traditional and dynamic. Chawla will next be seen in Ms Raju"s RUM in which she plays the character of Meneka an outgoing modern girl.
Of her film, Chawla wrote on a social networking site, "there happen to be some stunts in the film which would be performed under the guidance of Vijjayan master, did my first rope shot today, have some bruises, but I guess I can live with it".
She is currently under shooting for Virat Kannada starring opposite Darshan. Later in mid January 2016 she signed her first item number in Anil Ravipudi"s Supreme featuring oppsite Sai Dharam Tej.
