In 2013 he was selected as one of British Academy of Film and Television Arts"s "Breakthrough Brits". He won the Best Writer award at the 2014 British Academy of Film and Television Arts television Craft awards for his television series In The Flesh, which went on to win "Best Mini Series" at the 2014 British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
