He was the Los Angeles Kings first round draft pick, 20th overall, in the 1972 Amateur Draft. He played 437 games in the National Hockey League, playing for the Los Angeles Kings from 1972 to 1978 and splitting the remaining of the 1978-1979 season with Vancouver Canucks.
