He attended Street Patrick"s College, Shorncliffe and played his junior football for the Aspley Devils before being signed by the Sydney Roosters.
A Cook Islands international and Prime Minister"s XIII representative, he plays at property Napa also played for the Queensland under 18s team Napa played for the Roosters New York City team in 2011 and 2012.
In 2012, Napa was named at Prop in the inaugural Under 20s State of Origin match for Queensland.
At the end of 2012, Napa was named on the interchange bench in the 2012 Under 20s Team of the Year. Napa cites Karmichael Hunt and Sonny Bill Williams as two inspirations for his playing style while growing up.
In his 3rd match against Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, Napa put on one of the big hits of the year on Sharks captain Paul Gallen in the Roosters 32-22 loss at Remondis Stadium. Napa in played 7 matches for the Roosters in his debut year in the NRL, missing out on a Grand Final spot due to Luke O"Donnell recovering from injury.
Napa was selected for the Cook Islands squad in the 2013 World Cup, playing in all their 3 matches.

Napa played for the Roosters in their 36-14 2014 World Club Challenge victory over 2013 Super League champions the Wigan Warriors. Napa played in 24 matches in the 2014 NRL season.
He played for the Roosters in the Auckland Nines.
Napa was included in the Queensland squad for the 2015 State of Origin series, being 18th man for the Maroons in Game 1 and Game 3. Napa scored 2 tries from 26 matches for the season.
