Ebs Akintade is the second of two children of Elaine (née Walker) and Isaac Akintade. He has an older brother, Ola. He began presenting on Student on Demon FM whilst at De Montfort University in March 2001.
After graduating and working for a stint at Peter Jones (department store), he became a television Researcher in September 2005, working for primetime British Broadcasting Corporation Observational Documentary Trauma following the Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics on the 12 hour shifts at the Royal Liverpool Hospital for four months.
After leaving the British Broadcasting Corporation and gaining his first television cr in July 2006, he moved on to Sunset and Vine Productions for two years to work on two entertainment shows: The Grosvenor United Kingdom Poker Tour (GUKPT) for Channel 4 (2006) and for Challenge television (2007). In 2009 and 2010 he was one of the main Red Carpet hosts for the 53rd and 54th BFI London Film Festival in Leicester Square interviewing everyone from Noel Fielding, Gabourey Sidibe, Andy Serkis, London Mayor Boris Johnson and Jane Campion.
In October 2012 he was the main red carpet interviewer for the British Urban Film Festival and at the United Kingdom Premiere of Whitney Houston’s final movie: Sparkle
He joined 107.8 Jackie in July 2010 as traffic reporter and entertainment correspondent interviewing the likes of Alistair McGowan, Frank Bruno and Dame Edna Everage. He is currently the Late Night Presenter on the feel good party show on Friday and Saturday nights on the station.
On 29 August 2011 he began as a regular guest on the late night British Broadcasting Corporation London 94.9 Late Show with JoAnne Good between 11pm to midnight Monday to Fridays on Chewing the Fat, sometimes featuring alongside fellow Dulwich College Alumni Russian Kane.
Currently, he regularly appears on the same station for two hours on Sunday nights for the British Broadcasting Corporation Sunday Sessions in conversation with Live acts, reviewing the latest singles and guessing the feature Tony Blackburn’s Archive Avenue song from the past
