Career
He previously competed with Mari Vartmann, with whom he is the 2007 German national silver medalist. Florian Just began skating at the age of five at the European Commission Nürnberg. At this time he also practiced artistic roller skating.
He had some success on the Junior Grand Prix circuit as a single skater.
He is the only German skater who reached an International Skating Union in the Men"s competition. Just moved to Munich because of the better training available at the Münchener EV. Here he continued five more years with single skating before he switched to pair skating in Berlin.
In January 2004 he teamed up with Mari-Doris Vartmann. They were coached originally by Julia Gnilozubowa.
In autumn 2004 they switched to Knut Schubert.
They practiced in Dortmund and also in Berlin. In 2009, just after the North Rhine-Westphalia-Trophy, the pair split up. In spring 2010, Just teamed up with Katharina Gierok.
Karel Fajfr coaches the pair.
They finished 11th in their debut at the event, with a combined total of 118.06 points. Gierok and Just ended their partnership at the end of the 2011-2012 season.
He is a sport-soldier at the Bundeswehr. With Gierok With Vartmann.
