Career
Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, Zetteler moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1848. In 1853, he moved to Madison, Wisconsin and then, in 1859, back to Milwaukee. Zetteler was a real estate developer.
He served as a justice of the peace, a notary public, and was a deputy United States Marshal.
In 1863 and 1875, Zetteler served as a Democrat in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
