Bill Mulrow is a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and of Yale College where he graduated Cum Laude and was a Rhodes Scholar finalist.
He is a Senior Managing Director at the Blackstone Group, an alternative asset manager. Previously, he was a Director of Global Capital Markets at Citigroup, Incorporated., a Managing Director of Paladin Capital Group, a Senior Vice President and Head of New Product Development at Gabelli Asset Management (now GAMCO Investors), a Managing Director in Corporate Finance for Rothschild Incorporated., and a Managing Director and Head of Public Finance Banking for Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation. Bill Mulrow"s career has included ibusiness, government and politics.
He has experience in financial markets including public finance, asset management and investment banking, as well as having served in federal, state and local government and political positions.
Board experience Mulrow is the Chairman of the Board of Sterling Suffolk Racecourse, also known as Suffolk Downs, a thoroughbred race track in New England. He previously served on the Boards of Application Security, Incorporated., the Hudson Valley Bank and Millbrook Capital.
Mulrow has served in public positions. He is Governor Andrew Cuomo"s appointee as the Chairman of the New York State Housing Finance Agency and the State of New York Mortgage Agency.
He was also named to the Judicial Compensation Commission by Cuomo in 2011.
Previously, he served as a Director of the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, Director of the Municipal Assistance Corporation for the City of New York, Director of the United Nations Development Corporation, Chairman of the Westchester County Industrial Development Agency, and Chairman of the New York City Rent Guidelines Board. He ran for the Office of New York State Comptroller, and was Vice Chair of the New York State Democratic Party. He has appeared on Cable News Network, Microsoft and National Broadcasting Company, American Broadcasting Company, Columbia Broadcasting System, and National Broadcasting Company. Mulrow was an advisor to New York state Governors Hugh Carey, Mario Cuomo, Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo.
Mulrow has also sat on the Board of Advisors for the State and Local Government Center at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, and the Board of Advisors for the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University.
He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Fordham Preparatory School in the Bronx.
Mulrow is a member of Kappa Beta Phi.
