Brent Johnson was drafted by the Lions in the third round, 20th overall of the 2000 Canadian Football League Draft. He started playing for British Columbia in 2001. Johnson led the Canadian Football League in sacks with 17 in the 2005 Canadian Football League season and 16 in the 2006 Canadian Football League season.
He was awarded his third Canadian Football League All-Star selection for his performance in the 2008 Canadian Football League season.
