He was definitely promoted to the main squad in the 2011 summer, appearing in 37 matches in his first season as the club failed to promote from Segunda División B.
On 14 July 2012 Hernández moved to Real Zaragoza, who paid €70,000 for his services, He was immediately assigned to the reserves, also in the third division. On 9 August 2013 Hernández joined Civil Engineering Sabadell Football Club, in Segunda División. On 4 July 2015 Hernández moved to fellow league team Civil Defense Lugo, after agreeing to a two-year deal.
