Cecil Maxwell represented the Gentlemen versus the Players at Lord"s in 1935. He played in 44 first-class matches for Nottinghamshire (1936-1939), Marylebone Cricket Club (1938-1939), Middlesex (1946) and Worcestershire (1948-1951) as a right-handed batsman and a wicket-keeper between 1932 and 1951.
