Career
He was a linebacker who played for the American Football League"s San Diego Chargers, and the National Football League"s Pittsburgh Steelers, and Philadelphia Eagles. Allen was an All-American Federation of Labor-Congress player in 1961, and an American Federation of Labor-Congress Western Division All-Star in 1961, an All-American Federation of Labor-Congress player in 1961, and an American Federation of Labor-Congress Western Division All-Star in 1963 and 1964. Allen went on to serve as the Vice President of Football Operations for the Seattle Seahawks for about 15 years.
The football stadium in Allen"s hometown of Cle Elum is named in his honor: "Chuck Allen Field.".
