Charlie Carver is an American actor known for his role as Porter Scavo in the American Broadcasting Company television series Desperate Housewives, and as Ethan in the Music Television teen horror series Teen Wolf.

Charlie Carver was born in San Francisco, California. Carver’s father, Robert Martensen, was an author and medical researcher in history at the National Institutes of Health and his mother, Anne Carver is a philanthropist and community activist.
Career
He also starred in the first season of the Home Box Office series The Leftovers. His real-life twin brother Max Carver also portrayed his fictional twin in all three shows. Before he began acting professionally, he was known as Charlie Martensen.

Charlie was born on July 31, and Max was born seven minutes later on August 1. He attended High School at Saint Paul’s Boarding School in Concord, New Hampshire, but left to attend Interlochen Arts Academy, Michigan, in his sophomore year.
He graduated from the University of Southern California in 2012. He also studied acting at The American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
Carver made his acting debut as an eighth-grader when he played Puck, the fairy trickster, in his school’s production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night"s Dream.
They played Porter and Preston Scavo, sons to Felicity Huffman and Doug Savant. Along with Max, Charlie appeared in Season 3 of Music Television"s Teen Wolf as a pair of twin werewolves – Charlie plays Ethan, and Max played Aiden. The Carver twins both starred in the first season of Home Box Office series The Leftovers.
