Junior
Chris played with the Shattucks Saint Mary's Associate of Arts team in Faribault, Minnesota, where he scored 8 goals and 30 points in 43 games. After this, he decided to play for the Indiana Ice team of the USHL, where he gained just 5 points in a washout season. After the team left, decided to go to the OHL’s London Knights, inspired from the recent talent that originated there.
In his rookie season, he played most of the season and had a good season.
After his season, he was drafted in the 2015 National Hockey League Draft, where he was selected in the 4th Round, 103rd overall, to the Dallas Stars.
