Chris Watt is an American football offensive guard for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League.
Education
Watt attended Glenbard West in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Watt recorded 118 pancake blocks as a junior and 107 as a senior. He led Glenbard West to 12-1 record in 2008, and played three different positions along offensive line, never surrendering a sack.
He was selected to the 2009 United States. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
Considered a four-star recruit by Rivals.com, he was rated the second best offensive guard prospect in his class.
He was named the 2008-2009 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year.
Career
He was drafted by the Chargers in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football at Notre Dame. Watt redshirted as a freshman in 2009 and was a backup in 2010.
He was the Fighting Irish"s starting left guard in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
He started 34 consecutive games before missing the Navy game due to an injured knee. He returned to start the final three games of the 2013 season, before being held out of the Pinstripe Bowl versus
Rutgers due to his previously injured knee. San Diego Chargers Watt was selected by the San Diego Chargers in the 3rd round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
