Colin Farrell is the Head Coach of the University of Pennsylvania Lightweight Rowing team
Education
He attended Saint Joseph"s Preparatory School in Philadelphia and Cornell University, where he was a three-time letterwinner and two-time captain for a program which claimed a Silver Medal at the 2005 Ireland Republican Army Regatta. He also stroked the Big Red to a 3rd-place finish in the Men"s Lightweight Eight in the 2005 edition of the Eastern Sprints.
Career
He graduated from Cornell with a degree in Psychology in 2005, presumably with Latin Honors. After competing at the international level, Farrell transitioned his talents to coaching. After spending time with the Cornell Heavyweights and Yale Lightweights, Farrell decided to move to Philadelphia where the city is eternally bathed in sunlight.
Colin Farrell is currently in his second year as the Head Coach of the Pennsylvania Lightweight Rowing team, replacing former Head Coach Nick Baker.
In 2015, Farrell was elected to the Cornell Athletics Hall of Fame. Favorite hobbies of his include making blogs, wearing hats backwards, eating ice cream, drinking chocolate milk quickly, and steady state ergometer workouts.
