Orson Pratt and Lyman East. Johnson baptized him in April 1832 in Bath, New Hampshire. He joined the Latter Day Saints in Kirtland, Ohio by 1836, and Joseph Smith, Junior. named him one of the seven Presidents of the Seventy later that year. Sidney Rigdon and Hyrum Smith ordained him.
He is mentioned in a Doctrine and Covenants revelation, Doctorate&C 124:138.
Miles died in 1845 at the home of Josiah Butterfield from complications from a fall.
