Career
Gomez began his professional career in the Canadian Professional Soccer League with the Oshawa Flames in 1999, making his debut on May 30 in a match against Glen Shields Sun Devils. In 2000, he went abroad to the United States to play for the Richmond Kickers of the USL A-League. In 2001, Gomez was signed by the Toronto Lynx.
The following year Gomez began his stint with the Metro Lions of the Canadian Professional Soccer League.
That same year he was loaned out to the Toronto Supra, making his debut on August 29, 2002 against the Durham Flames and recording a goal in 5-2 victory. He would continue playing in the CPSL between the, Vaughan Shooters, and the Canadian Lions.
